Management function is the most important business function (hierarchically highest) in an enterprise. Management defines and sets goals, strategies and policies of the company. Within the management function, business relationships of the company with the environment are designed; it forms a system of internal interconnections and determines the global distribution of the achieved results of the company. The paper will analyze the role and importance of the management function in modern business.
